What Do We Have?

 

OUR COLLECTION IS VAST AND DIVERSE

We have fire apparatus dating back to the mid 1800s including seven horse drawn steam engines, motorized fire engines form every decade and the world famous Engine and Squad 51. The vehicles are complemented by a vast collection of photographs, tools, early paramedic equipment, uniforms, firefighting gear, helmets, badges and documents.

The ON DISPLAY section provides information, stories, photos, and videos of the apparatus we have on display at the museum in Bellflower.

The OTHER LOCATIONS section provides information photos, and videos of the apparatus we have at our building that is not open to the public. Hopefully, we will have a location in the future large enough to bring everything out for the public to enjoy.

The PHOTOGRAPH COLLECTION section provides photos of our extensive collecton of photos from the County of Los Angeles Fire Department's history.

The ARTIFACTS section provides information on our collection of artifacts. A list of artifacts on display at the Bellflower museum is included.

The SQUAD 51 section provides information particular to the world famous Squad 51. You will find stories, photos and videos of the Squad today.

The ENGINE 51 section provides information particular to the world famous Engine 51. You will find stories, photos, and videos of the Engine today.

The Ready to Restore Engine 51 section has 2 videos of the Engine today. These videos show how it looks and what is needed to bring it back to its' television glory days.

The RESTORATIONS IN PROGRESS section provides information, photos, and videos of any restorations we may have in progress at this point in time.
